Participants:
All Young media enthusiasts from 18 to 35 years old living in one of countries in geographical Europe (Council of Europe member states + Belarus), also contributors to youth and school newspapers, young radio and video producers, podcasters, bloggers, young media professionals can participate on this contest.
Materials and Guidelines:
Materials can be submitted for the 3 categories: Text, Video/Audio, and Photos.
In order to participate in the contest, you should check out in Youthmedia websites to Upload: sign in Youthmedia.
- Text à at least 1000 words long (I f you upload a PDF file, size between 10 kilobytes and 15 megabytes)
- Pictures à following Youth Media guidelines, JPEG format, with at least 900 x 900 pixels dimension and maximum 10 MB;
- Audio à MP3 file from your hard-disk with a file-size between 0.1 MB and 35 MB, length not more than 30 minutes;
Video à video file between 1 and 30 megabytes in AVI, Quicktime, 3GPP, WMV, MP4, FLV or MPEG format., length not more then 10 minutes.
Languages:
The main language of the Contest is English.
Organization:
- Each participants can present up to 5 entries in all categories to Youthmedia.eu or to its national platforms.
- They can present the entries in English, French, and Italian (the languages of the European Alternatives website) directly to Youthmedia.eu or in the language of the national Youthmedia platforms already active in Austria, France, Germany, Hungary, Romania and Sweden.
- The best non-English entries will be nationally selected, eventually translated in English, to join the central contest.
- The entries nationally selected will join the contest where a transnational jury of journalists, academics, and experts will decide the three winners.
Criterion for presenting materials:
- Relevance of information in relation to the topic
- Originality and creativity of treatment of the subject
- Journalistic quality
